The recovery of solute gases present in gaseous mixtures of noncondensables; this recovery is generally achieved by contacting the gas stream with a liquid that offers specific or selective solubility for the solute gas to be recovered, or with an adsorbent (for example, synthetic or natural zeolite) that accepts only specific molecule sizes or shapes.
