An essential oil with a blue-green color and a camphorlike odor; chief constituents are eucalyptol, pinene, and alpha terpineol; distilled from leaves and twigs of species of East Indian trees of the genus Melaleuca; used in perfumes and medicines. Also spelled cajuput oil.
