M.路易斯（Michael Lewis）在同名书籍（The Lexical Approach，1993）中提出的以词汇为中心的语言教学方法。基本理念是，语言在很大程度上由一些固定短语或词块（chunk）构成，语言教学的重要任务是帮助学习者理解和产出词块式的短语。此处的短语（lexical phrase）与常说的动宾短语、介词短语等不同，指词汇层面的短语。
