根据因特网工程任务部（IETF）的网络文件系统协议来实现的分布式文件系统。简称NFS。NFS基于客户端-服务器模型，服务器输出一个本地文件系统的目录子树，客户端计算机可以像挂载本地文件系统一样，将这个目录子树挂载到自己的本地目录树上，用户和应用程序可以用访问本地文件系统一样的接口来访问位于服务器上的这个目录子树中的文件和目录。NFS协议定义了客户端与服务器之间的远程进程调用（RPC）通信方式、服务器接受的操作类型和参数、相应的处理和应答。此外，它还定义了NFS的挂载协议。
