可兴奋细胞受到一次阈刺激或阈上刺激产生一次兴奋后，在兴奋发生的当时以及兴奋后最初的一段时间，无论对其施加多么强大的刺激也不可能使细胞再次兴奋，这段时间为绝对不应期。
