湿润热带、亚热带地区由碳酸盐岩（如纯质灰岩、硅质灰岩、泥灰岩、白云质灰岩、白云岩和石灰质白云岩等）经溶蚀风化堆积而形成的厚薄不等、钙饱和或含游离碳酸钙、岩性特征明显的土壤。属石质初育土亚纲。在中国土壤系统分类（2001）中，相当于黑色岩性均腐土、钙质湿润雏形土、钙质常湿雏形土、钙质湿润富铁土等；在美国土壤系统分类（2014）中，大致相当于黑色石灰软土[注]、湿润始成土[注]；在联合国世界土壤资源参比基础（2014）中，大致相当于薄层土[注]、雏形土[注]。又称石灰土。
