氚自持
实现氘-氚核聚变反应中所需氚能自给自足。氘-氚聚变反应的燃料是氘和氚，其中氘在海水中有丰富的储量且提取成本低，可以直接从海水里提取；氚在自然界中并不存在，即使人工制造也价格十分昂贵，而一座标准聚变堆年氚的消耗量可达几十千克。利用聚变中子在包层里增殖氚，再通过复杂工艺流程收集氚，并及时补充核反应中燃耗的氚，可实现氘-氚核聚变反应中所需氚能自给自足，即氚自持。
