可使光谱中的红光、橙光等暖调色光易于透过，并能大量吸收蓝光、青光等冷调色光，使之难以通过，从而使所摄影像的色调比未加该滤光镜时的画面色调相对变暖、偏红橙色调的一类调色温滤光镜。简称暖调滤光镜。暖调调色温滤光镜因可相对降低光源色温，故此又称降色温滤光镜。
