国际性专业学术组织，简称IAFL。1993年7月，在德国波恩正式成立并召开首届大会，通过协会宪章、选举协会常委会。该协会采取会员制，其成员一般都有语言学背景，并对语言与法律领域有浓厚兴趣，致力于法庭语言学、庭审中的语言、法律文本的分析/解释、法庭口译、多语制/语言政策、关于语言问题的证明/咨询伦理、法律问题的语料库方法等方面的研究。
