客轮海难事故之一。2015年5月28日13：00，中国重庆东方轮船公司所属“东方之星”号客轮由南京开往重庆，船上船员46人，旅客408人。6月1日21：32，当航行至湖北省荆州市监利县长江大马洲水道（长江中游航道里程300.8千米处）时，突发大风，造成船舶翻沉。经各方全力救助，12人获救，最终“东方之星”轮事件造成442人死亡。
