寒温带针叶林下发育的离铁潜育型土壤。在中国土壤分类（1978）和中国第二次土壤普查土壤分类（1988）中，列为淋溶土土纲漂灰土土类；在中国土壤系统分类中，大部分归入湿润雏形土亚纲漂白冷凉湿润雏形土亚类，但不能排除部分土壤具有灰化淀积层因而也可能属于灰化土；在美国土壤系统分类中，大致相当于冷冻潮湿始成土[注]和冷冻潮湿新成土[注]；在联合国世界土壤图图例中，大致相当于永冻雏形土和永冻潜育土土壤单元。又称山地灰化土（1954）、森林潜育土（1955）、棕色灰化土（1956）、灰化土（1978）、灰壤（1985）、潜育棕色针叶林土（1986）。
