江户时期由日本佐贺县有田町烧制的瓷器，通过伊万里港出口到世界各地，故人们习惯上把由伊万里港输出的瓷器称为伊万里烧或伊万里瓷器。为了和现在在日本伊万里烧制的瓷器做区分，也被称为“古伊万里瓷器”，现在唯有生产于日本佐贺县西部的港口城市伊万里地方的瓷器被称为伊万里瓷器。
