对机械结构施加一定形式（由激励信号决定）和大小（由功率放大器决定）的激振力，使其产生相应振动的系统。广义上讲，激励系统是指机械结构动态试验（特别是模态试验）系统中的一个分系统，包括信号发生器、功率放大器和激振器（激振装置）。狭义上讲，激励系统就是指激振器（激振装置）。是机械结构动态试验中的一个术语。
