A drug used alone or with other drugs to treat multiple myeloma that has gotten worse or come back after treatment with other anticancer therapy. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. Kyprolis blocks the action of enzymes called proteasomes, which may help keep cancer cells from growing and may kill them. It is a type of proteasome inhibitor. Also called carfilzomib.
